 Waking up at 5AM is not something that I usually enjoy, but when it's the first Saturday of the month and I know the weather is going to be nice, it's worth it to get down to MN C&C early at the AutoMotorPlex to not only make sure I have a spot for my car but also to catch everyone else arriving early. Now, MN C&C events don't start until 8AM but by 7:30, the huge parking complex at the MotorPlex was full and cars were being turned away at the entrance. The cars that did make it through, however, were nothing short of breathtaking, including more than a dozen Shelby Cobras, quite a few Ferraris and Lamborghinis and even the new McLaren MP4-12C and a Lexus LFA!

In honor of Carroll Shelby, the local Shelby club showed up in force.

A bunch of new Subaru BRZs showed up together too.

One of the more interesting sites were a pair of classic buses.

Imola Motorsports came out with their new track support rig and several track vehicles that the shop maintains.

A large group of Studebakers also showed up to the show.

One generous car collector from Ohio brought up a few of his toys including this 1250 AWHP Underground Racing turboed Lamborghini Gallardo and a brand new Camaro ZL1 up to Chanhassen for MN C&C.

Aside from the brand new Aventador that made a brief appearance, some of the biggest show-stoppers at MN C&C were the new McLaren MP4-12C and a Lexus LFA.

Ryan Gates had a nice homecoming and brought his signature AMS-tuned 311RS Evolution.

Of course, being a nice day, I felt compelled to bring my new-to-me Miata and park it with the top down.

This gorgeous Lamborghini Miura SV was in attendance. It's amazing to see such a rare car in person and it really held its own amongst all of the shiny new metal.
